The International Workshop on Quantum Control of Light and Matter will serve as an inauguration of the Purdue Quantum Center. The main mission of the Center is to create a research environment that will boost discoveries and collaborative studies in Quantum Science and Technology. This kickoff workshop will bring together world-class experts specializing in diverse areas such as Quantum Information & Computing, Quantum Nanophotonics & Metamaterials, as well as Quantum aspects of Atomic and Molecular Optics and Atom-like Solid State Systems.

Workshop Format

All talks are invited with each talk lasting 25 min including Q&A. This workshop is designed as a brainstorming event, and each talk is expected to include some speculation on the challenges, mysteries, and future of quantum science.

The conference will be held on Oct. 14 - 15, 2015 at Purdue University and will take place at the Burton D. Morgan Center for Entrepreneurship located in the Purdue Discovery Park.
