2016 Purdue Cheer "Get Recruited" Clinic

Open to all middle school, high school and college aged cheerleaders (Grades 6 and up)

Cost: Only $100 for an all-day clinic (10:00-6:00). All participants will get a clinic t-shirt, a Purdue cheer team poster and work with the Purdue cheer coaching staff and athletes!

Tentative Schedule

9:00-10:00 a.m. Check-In & At the Door Registration
10:00-10:30 a.m. Welcome/Safety-Spotting/Stunt Demos
10:30-11:30 a.m. Stunt session #1 (seniors & juniors only)/Athletics facilities tour (sophomores & younger)
If have attended clinic before and have already been on the tour, will work jumps and band cadences.
11:30-12:30 p.m. Tumbling (everybody)
12:30-1:45 p.m. Lunch (on your own)
1:45-2:15 p.m. Q&A with coaching staff and athletes
2:15-3:15 p.m. Stunt session #2 (sophomores & younger)/Athletics facilities tour (seniors and juniors)
If have attended clinic before and have already been on the tour, will work jumps and band cadences.
3:15-4:15 p.m. Learn "Hail Purdue"
4:15-4:30 p.m. Break
4:30-5:45 p.m. Stunt session #3 (everybody)
5:45 p.m. Closing remarks
  • All participants, families and friends who come will get a tour of the newly renovated Purdue athletics facilities!
  • Workout in Cardinal Court – our new indoor and air conditioned practice basketball court! Work with and learn from the Purdue cheer coaching staff and athletes. Learn to co-ed stunt with the Purdue co-ed squad. Work with the Purdue all-girl cheerleaders and other talented cheerleaders from around the country. Show off your standing and running tumbling skills, and learn tumbling and stunting technique from the Purdue coaches.
  • If you’re a high school senior or current college student looking to transfer, this is your chance to show off your skills, work with the staff, and see what Purdue has to offer!
  • Q&A session with Coach Solberg, his staff and athletes to answer any of your questions about Purdue University and the cheer program.

Every participant MUST have a signed participation/medical authorization waiver. You may fax, scan, or bring with you to the clinic. You will NOT be able to participate without a signed form.

2016 "Get on Track" Cheer Championships

  • Compete in Mackey Arena! Price is only $150 per team ($100 for Time-Out)
  • All-girl partner stunt group, Junior High, Freshman, Junior Varsity, Varsity and time-out divisions offered
  • Indiana State score sheets will be used. Get great feedback from qualified judges to get ready for State!
  • TOP 3 teams in each division will receive a trophy! GRAND CHAMPION WILL BE AWARDED!
  • $10 General Admission for spectators, including Mackey premium seating area
  • All-Star teams can exhibition for only $25 per team! Get out in front of the crowd before your first competition!
    • No spring floor is offered for this.
  • Doors will open to spectators at 3:30 p.m.
  • Competition will start at 4:15 p.m.
